Cobot Choreography | Client: Player Programmed Games
Player-Programmed Partner Games asked us to all make games for students about cobotics and programming. Our team created a 2-player game called 'Cobot Choreography' that allows kids to have fun creating dance routines according to programming logic, in order to show these low-resource students that coding doesn't have to be intimidating and that they already know how to code.
For this game, I did research into block programming and children's dance concepts and collaborated with my team members in creating game components in Figma, discussing project direction and revisions, and hosting playtesting.
I wrote the Problem Definition and Research: Game Concept sections of the papers.
Rolly Polly Project | Client: Generation Citizen
This game was made for Generation Citizen, who asked us to make educational roleplaying games for students. Roleplaying has been increasingly used as a tool in the classroom in order to teach kids, as their nature allows them to better reinforce lessons and promote empathy and social skills.
Our team created a game made to be played by a class, the basic premise being that the game would be about a city that would be selling a portion of public land for development.
From that prompt, our team developed a game in which each classmate would roleplay as citizens in this city, given individual personas (we developed 17 total) that would include details about their personal connection (or apathy) towards the land issue. Throughout the game, players would be attempting to bring in the more apathetic characters into supporting the cause through simulating civic actions.

We provided a list of civil actions that students could roleplay during class, attempting to bring these actions as close to reality as possible –– for example, for the civil action 'Directly Contacting City Council,' we had players email a dummy account using a real template that people use when drafting emails for their representatives. We hoped to transform players through roleplay and help them realize that they are capable of being active citizens.
For this game, I researched civil actions and wrote + formatted the Action Sheet, wrote sections for + reformatted the Facilitator Sheet, collaborated with my team members in discussing project direction and revisions, and hosted playtesting. I wrote the Game Improvement section of the Process Document.
