About Me

ABOUT ME
I'm Elan, currently pursuing my MS in Health Informatics at Northeastern University. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon in 2022 with dual degrees in Art and Human-Computer Interaction with Honors.
My work spans government initiatives, cultural institutions, and healthcare applications—projects united by a commitment to understanding people deeply and translating insights into thoughtful design. I approach problems by conducting rigorous research, iterating based on real feedback, and creating solutions grounded in both user needs and data.
With a background in education and a growing focus on data analytics, I bring both empathy and analytical rigor to design challenges. Whether prototyping medication management tools for seniors or building interactive dashboards, I'm driven by the belief that great design should feel effortless to use while solving genuinely hard problems.
Tools & Methods

MY VALUES
What Drives Me
Making Hard Things Easy
I love the challenge of breaking complex ideas into something understandable. Teaching kids of all ages shapes how I approach design: with empathy, adaptability, and a little fun!
Leading with Questions
Through literature review, interviews, competitive analysis, usability testing, I work to understand the actual problems users face.
Building New Skills
I'm working to develop new capabilities beyond traditional UX work, building foundational knowledge in health systems and picking up new tools, from R to React.
Finding Patterns in Data
Good data visualization is equal parts analysis and art. I'm drawn to that ability to turn numbers into a story. Not a pro yet, but working on it!
